This potential has been confirmed by numerous studies, with promising results shown in reducing the risk of cancers such as colon cancer and prostate cancer. Lastly, the health benefits of beets can be found in their numerous and high concentration of vitamins and minerals. As already mentioned, beets are a good source of vitamin C and magnesium. In addition, beets also contain a quality amount of potassium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, beta-carotene, folic acid and more. In addition, beets are a good source of fiber, which can also bring about many health benefits to those individuals that consume it. Dietary fiber is an important part to a well balanced diet. As well, beets are able to help detox the body and also help support mental health. Beets can be difficult to stomach at times and on their own are often described as being unappealing.
