Indian kids menu | what my kids eat in a day | Indian kids daily meal ideas

In this video I am sharing with you an Indian kids menu for a day that my kids followed today.My son is 5 and daughter is 17 months old.They eat pretty much a balanced meal through out the day.The indian recipes for kids meal are described in detail below. KIDS MENU FOR TODAY: Breakfast Oats Chilla Roast the oats until brown and powder it.Add a tsp of ginger garlic paste, grated carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers and add about 1.5 cups of butter milk to it and make a thick batter.Add 1tsp of cumin powder (1/4tsp)chilli powder, 1tsp coriander powder and pinch of salt and mix well.keep it aside for 10 mins and then heat a pan and make the oats chillas in a little desi ghee.serve it warm to the kids.optional-ketchup/chutney Lunch-Bottlegourd khichdi. Cook a cup(soaked 1/2 cup chana dal and 1/2 cup toor dal)in a pressure cooker. In a cooker,add a little ghee/oil and add atsp of cumin seeds.saute onions, tomatoes.add a pinch of turmeric powder, 1/4tsp of cumin powder, 1tsp coriander and red chilli powder , salt to taste and the bottle gourd pieces(1 cup) and then fry it a little.then add 1.5 cup soaked rice and the cooked dal into it and then add about 3cups of water.adjust the salt in it and then cook until two whistles. YOu can alter the consistency of the khichdi if you prefer a more soupy/runny consistency. Snack(evening) Banana dosa Mash a banana so that no lumps are there.then add a pinch of cardamom powder, 1/8 cup of jaggery powder, a tiny pinch of salt and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour.mix it well adding very little water to it.we need a thick batter to make the dosa on a hot tawa.serve it warm after smearing 1/4 tsp of ghee on the top.
